The Nike EYBL Peach Jam is one of if not the most prestigious grassroots tournament in the county. The event brings together some of the nation's top prospects and teams to compete for the championship in front of a plethora of collegiate coaches/staff and NBA scouts for both the traditional Peach Jam tournament and the Peach Invitational Tournament (PIT), for those EYBL teams that didn't qualify for Peach Jam. In the midst of Peach Jam and the PIT, prospects from local based teams in DC, Maryland and Virginia all shined, especially these notable bigs.

Stagg led the way for [program_tooltip program_id='2226248' first='Boo' last='Williams'], averaging 13.4 points per game and 6 rebounds while showcasing his showcasing his sensational physical tools and motor.

The long and explosive big thrived as a play finisher with several highlight dunks and contact finishes. If Stagg wasn't finishing plays, he was creating second chance scoring opportunities with his activity and length on the glass. Defensively, Stagg's highlight reel continued. He blocked shots on the ball and on the weak side with terrific timing and quick twitch athleticism including swatting a shot off the glass.

Stagg flashed some shooting touch, mostly in the midrange, with my favorite moment coming on a confident elbow pull-up against Strive for Greatness. His development as a capable shooter will be intriguing to watch.

The other half of the formidable [program_tooltip program_id='2226248' first='Boo' last='Williams'] 4-5 duo alongside Kareem Stagg, Barksdale was a handful for opposing teams due to an impactful blend of size, length and relentless motor en route to averaging a double-double of 10 points and 11.6 rebounds.

Barksdale was a force on both ends of the glass, scoring several times on offensive rebounds and cleaning the glass in and out of his area including 17 rebounds against City Rock.

Barksdale had encouraging moments of touch that should be monitored. He knocked down multiple jumpers, showing comfort on catch-and-shoot baseline attempts and a push shot that could become a valuable weapon moving forward.

Fort flourished as a play finisher and defensive playmaker by leveraging his explosive athleticism, fluidity and length. He displayed some versatility in his rim finishing from powerful above the rim dunks to off to below the rim finishes with his off hand and sound footwork. Everything seemed to come together for him offensively in his 30-point effort against the NW Rotary Rebels (11.9 points per fame).

Fort continues show glimpses of a reliable mid-range jumper, especially around the elbows. I'm excited about the upside there to become a dangerous mid post player.
