With the scholastic live period over and the grassroots live period going on, we thought it would be a good time to look at some specific specialists in different areas. Here's a look at part two of some of the top shooters in the Central and Western areas of the state.

Beamer is on pace to break the VISAA scoring record through his first two seasons, and he's shown he can do it against the best in the EYBL as well. He's a dynamic scorer from all three levels but it starts with his shooting as he has deep range off the catch and off the bounce, he can come off screens and drill it when defenders go under and he can get to spots in the midrange to knock it down too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1588139' first='Connor' last='Lyons'] | 6'7” PF | STAB 2026

Lyons was a breakout performer at DMV Live this year as he was one of the top shooters in the entire event, and the fact that he stands 6'7” makes him an even more intriguing prospect. He's become much more confident over the past year and has no problem letting it fly from deep, he has good range off the catch, he's excellent in pick-and-pop situations and at DMV Live he shots it at over 40% on a healthy number of attempts.

Gabriel D'Alessandro | 6'3” WG | Miller School 2026

D'Alessandro transferred from STAB to Miller where he'll fit in perfectly with their high octane offense where they shoot a ton of threes, and he wasn't shy about it when he made his debut at DMV Live with them. He's a confident shooter who works well off the ball to get open and can set his feet, he has good range off the catch and he has good balance to get to spots and hit tough shots int he midrange.

Will Braun-Davis | 6'2” WG | Handley 2027

Braun-Davis has emerged as one of the top young talents in the Winchester area, being named First Team All State as a freshman on a Handley team that will have a chance to make some deep runs behind his shooting. The 6'2” wing is very advanced for his age with the ability to let it fly and knock it down from way behind the arc, he can create space off the bounce from deep and in the midrange and he's constantly working off the ball and makes good reads on screens to get open.

[player_tooltip player_id='2353675' first='Noah' last='Farley'] | 5'11” CG | Floyd County 2027

Farley is another All State selection as a freshman on an up and coming Floyd County team that could make a deep run this season, and his game is very similar to Floyd County legend and former Radford star Caleb Tanner who finished his career as the #1 scorer in VHSL history in 2014. Farley is a n elite marksmen from deep with a quick release and great form, he gets into rhythm on the move and can let it fly from anywhere and he can play on the ball and create shots too.

Jessaiah Hines | 6'0” CG | North Cross 2027

Hines was another high scoring freshman in the Roanoke area who put up huge numbers last year and is able to heat up and make tough shots from all over the floor. He often plays on the ball with the ability to walk down defenders or lose them with crossovers and step backs, he has in the gym range and supreme confidence and he can attack closeouts and get to the rim as well.
