Recruiting Report: Brandon Weston (2021)
Brandon Weston is a 6’4” 2021 power wing from the east coast who plays for PSA Cardinals on the circuit. He has landed at Lake Forest Academy where he looks to make an impact as a freshman. Big time slashing scorer that gets in the lane and makes plays scoring at the hoop. Finishes consistently through traffic at the cup. Also flashes deep range on a jumper. Rebounds very well for his position. D1 potential.
He burst onto the in-state scene at the Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/Soph Camp.
“I felt the camp was really good and competitive. There were a lot of high level players. I thought the camp was good. I felt I played good and competed. I have things I need to work on.”
When his game is really rolling what is he doing best?
“I get to the basket and finish around the rim. I like drawing contact. I am a great passer and see the floor.”
He talked about his upcoming season at LFA.
“A great season. I feel like we have a good core group and a lot of seniors with leadership. I feel like we are going to have a really good season.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“I have an offer from UMass. I have interest from Wisconsin and Temple.”
UMass was the first school to offer him.
“I feel like it is a pretty good program and they have had some good players come out of UMass.”
