The Last Dance: Burish's 15U Friday Standouts

Prep Hoops welcomed The Last Dance last night, and I was at M14 Academy, ready to catch some thrilling 15U action. Here are my top prospects who made significant contributions to their teams and delivered standout performances.    Kreuter demonstrated impressive skill with a driving euro step and excelled in transition, showcasing great vision to set up plays. As a nifty driver, he effectively used moves off the pivot to maneuver past defenders. Kreuter's shooting ability is highlighted by a reliable pull-up three-pointer. On defense, he is proactive with quick hands to poke at the ball, makes smart digs in the post, and consistently creates steals. Kreuter had a fantastic first game against [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] Morgan where he contributed 17 points in a neck and neck game, until the Heat pulled away late.     McQuay displayed excellent court vision against the [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'] Black, highlighted by a beautiful one-handed bounce pass in transition. He controls the dribble well, using a smooth hesitation move to slip past defenders and get to the rim. McQuay's offensive skill set includes finishing contested layups and the ability to attack driving lanes with precision and confidence. Additionally, McQuay demonstrates strong leadership and positive body language, qualities that significantly benefit the team.     Thompson is a strong shot-blocker and a proactive rebounder who quickly looks for outlet passes to initiate fast breaks. In transition, he confidently connected on a pull-up jumper and effectively blocked shots on the roll man. On the offensive glass, Thompson excelled at snatching rebounds and he scrappily rewarded himself with second-chance points. He absorbed contact well around the rim and consistently followed up on missed shots. His energetic hustle was well noticed versus [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'] Black.     [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] White Jamerson is a lefty point guard with a slow but smooth three-point shot. He excelled in acrobatic finishes, often converting through contact, and uses his strong build effectively both as a screener and on defense, where he frequently picks pockets. Offensively, he makes quick pass-and-cut decisions and rises confidently with his jumper. His performance against All-In-Sports was particularly impactful, consistently breaking down their defense and scoring a total of 16 points.     Nelson is a southpaw with a smooth release, making him a reliable threat from three-point range off the catch and shoot. He has the ability to make multiple threes in succession without forcing his perimeter shots. Nelson showed off that skill against [program_tooltip program_id='2075532' first='Illinois' last='Bears'] Black, knocking down 3+, and doing it confidently. He holds a stockier build, and looked to pass and then relocate for better positioning. Additionally, Nelson included a running bank shot in this game, adding the versatility to score from inside and out.     [program_tooltip program_id='2414566' first='Mike' last='Glennon Elite'] [player_tooltip player_id='2403910' first='Logan' last='Wessel'] went on a scoring clinic against [program_tooltip program_id='2075515' first='Hoops' last='4 Health']. He has a crisp pull-up three-pointer and a knack for finding open passing lanes all over the court. Always hustling to grab his own rebounds when the opportunity is right and not afraid to involve his teammates, he attacks with speed and length, making slick drives look easy. In his first game Wessel dropped 19 points and he was the biggest factor in [program_tooltip program_id='2414566' first='Mike' last='Glennon Elite']'s win.
