It was Weekend Two as the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association put on yet another amazing live period event of June basketball, this time inviting in teams from the Southeastern Region.

As usual, the out-of-state talent impressed, as teams from Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, and others made their way to the LakePoint Champions Center.

Part 2 of 2 from a deep pool of non-Georgia guys who really impressed.

Older brother Mason is dynamite as well and both represent Puerto Rica on their FIBA teams with Mason a part of the U16 bunch. Such a smooth and shifty game does Mason possess as I didn't know who he was at tip but quickly drew my attention the way he dissected and knocked down shots and found the open man with simplicity and efficiency. Smart mid-majors should get in now as his game is only going to develop further.

Solid old school activity in the post with nimble enough feet at 7-feet to utilize some nice creativity. Had a definite effect on defensively altering and blocking shots and didn't waste a lot of time catching and throwing down with authority around the cup. UMass and Jacksonville offered in May and it wouldn't surprise me to see that number easily triple by the end of July.

So much good talent from Florida was in the building but I'd have to put Constanza at the top. Playing the point at 6-8 was tough enough to handle but he wasn't out of position or showing off, he looked natural and aggressive in that role. An excellent passer with lots of options to find on his roster. As a shooter he had few peers and with that kind of size he was a load getting at the rim. No surprise Oregon, Miami, and Tennessee are among just a few of the high major offers in his pocket.

Devastating combo of a slick 3-pt stroke that was on vs Norcross plus a drive game that had both flair and effectiveness. Tons of confidence emotes from him on the floor as he knows he can his quick release off and feels pretty good it's going down. Can handle it in a scoring PG mold or at 6-4 fit in just fine at the Power 5 level off the wing. Headed to the Florida Gators.

Such a good feel as a scorer and then even more so as a passer for a guy who looked like he could get any shot he wanted against a pretty athletic Raines (FL) group. Such a willing disher he threaded the needle like a tactician. Explosive first step getting to the basket but an easy-looking 3-pt stroke as well made him tough to slow down and put 27 on Raines. Coaches should make a point to drop in on BTI Pressure Elite this month to see what we're all seeing.

Has some good guards around him as well for a fun-to-watch NBP crew who impressed me two years ago as well when I caught them at the Big House in FL. Borio fills the classic rim runner mold and sees the ball a lot moving without it from their well-coached backcourt options. But like so many foreign players who've made an impact here in the US (Borio hailing from Brazil) he can step out and kill you from the perimeter with deep shooting or clever dribble-drive action.

Excellent Sunday game between Southridge and the defending Georgia 4A champs North Oconee. Valdes hit some big shots late in the game to stave off the Titans and showed off a clutch gene that was easy to spot. Not the biggest guy but a ton of heart to augment the speed to get into creases and do damage from all levels. Sound floor general.
