Davis is a high-powered shooter from long-range but he’s also shown an ability this spring and summer to play point and set things in motion. He’s got a tight handle, mixes up speeds to keep defenders off-balance and keep separation, and has done a great job using that handle to get in the middle and make things happen. He’ll be a name to watch this winter who could make a significant impact at Garfield.
Highlights
Reardon is a sturdy big man who combines strength, positioning, and touch to effectively play around the paint and extend out to 15 ft or so. He’s most effective working the glass, posting up, or facing up from slightly further out, but the Mount Baker big has the stroke to work further out at times. He’s also been a key shot-blocker for his squad and should follow up a big freshman year with an even better sophomore campaign.
Morgan is a hard worker who’s done a lot of his damage with strength and quick bursts in and around the paint. He has a good combo of raw physicality and precise footwork that allows him to get the edge on defenders and take advantage of small openings. He’s starting to play further out too, showing an improved shot from behind the arc, and a lot of the moves he uses close in can apply further out, helping him be effective from the perimeter too.
Uttech is a kid who continues to grow physically and look more athletic. He already possesses a good stroke out to 3-point, and can handle the ball securely and well enough to attack lanes. He’s really a kid who can defend multiple positions, block shots inside, and draw opposing bigs out with his smooth jumper. Look for him to have a big year at Chelan.
Burley is a smart guard who’s shown he knows how to contribute to winning basketball. He played a key role off the bench with Liberty last high school season and had an outstanding spring with Local Hoops , helping them go undefeated in 3SGB. He’s a shooter who can heat up in a hurry but also shows some good decision-making and ability to make plays downhill.
Harrity has good quickness with the ball, is aggressive attacking gaps, and shows good strength to drive through defenders. He’s also been a key guard for Local Hoops as they put in a strong spring season and is a kid who has shown he can score inside and out. Look for him to get some more minutes this winter with Bellevue.
