The new rankings just came out and it's impossible to get every kid that should be ranked higher on the list. Here are some guys that will be higher and ranked by the time the season gets rolling. [player_tooltip player_id='1434673' first='Alec' last='Johnson'] is one of the best bigs in the area that nobody knows except the people at his school. The 6'8 true power forward has been on an absolute tear this spring on the Puma circuit. [player_tooltip player_id='1414532' first='Aidan' last='Haskins'] (Tech Prep), [player_tooltip player_id='2148719' first='Mekhi' last='Polk'] (Tech Prep), [player_tooltip player_id='2547364' first='Auston' last='Jackson'] (CMIT South), Aaron Mcfarlane (Hayfield), all will be some of my early stock risers.

All he does is everything the coach ask of a player. One of the best pick and pop bigs I've seen in a while. He does a really good job of rebounding with two hands for quick outlets to guards. Alec is a coaches dream because he does not require the ball, but always finds a way to score. The kid has touch around the rim with both hands and doesn't miss free throws which is rare for someone his size. He's still growing and that means colleges should be at his front door by the time you get through reading this post.

The factory that is Hayfield continues to produce really good basketball players and the next one in line is Aaron. He does all of the little things that a coach loves which makes him an easy plug for any team. A really good rebounding guard that has some grit and toughness about him. Aaron is a 94 feet defender who just wears the opposing guard down. He plays with great pace and poise out there even with limited min last year he looks like a veteran out there now. Be on the look out for his stock to rise very soon.

Probably one of the sleepers in the class of 2025 is [player_tooltip player_id='2547364' first='Auston' last='Jackson']. Coming off a year where he was the second leading scorer for the CMIT South Tigers all he does is make plays. He is a three level scorer with enough length to shoot over smaller guards. Auston is a shot maker from beyond the arc and does a great job of getting defenders in foul trouble and getting to the line. He will be a triple double kid the way he rebounds as a guard and at the point guard spot he finds teammates for open shots. Once he adds more weight to his frame he will be a really tough prospect to pass over.

I could not believe what I was watching when I saw the 6'8 wing bringing the ball up the court to get in the paint for mid-range jumpers over smaller defenders. He has enough handle right now to get anywhere he wants and once he raises up for that lefty jumper you can take the ball out. His arm length looks like he's about 6'10 out there and he's a great spot up shooter. I don't think by the end of the summer I will be calling too many wings that are better than the Tech Prep wing.

Tough as nails is what you get when you watch the new Tech Prep PG play. I love his game because he just makes everyone better on the team. You can tell he believes he's the best guard on the floor when watch him defend. He is very quick with the ball and plays well off the high ball screen. Mekhi doesn't over dribble as he leads the break his eyes are up to find open teammates. He has improved his shot since I saw him last summer and that will have his stock rising even faster over the summer. Hard to stay in front of and a 94 feet defender has Mekhi on my board to keep an eye on over the next couple of months.
