The big man plays tough around the hoop as a rebounder and post defender. Moves well and showed that off with an impressive drive in the open floor that he finished with a dunk using his off hand at the PrepHoopsIllinois Combine. One of the better center prospects in the early stages of the 2018 class.
The sophomore spoke about his experience at the event.
“I think it is going pretty well. Vertical went well. Ball handling was good. I really like what is going on at the combine.”
He ran with Illinois Rise 15U on the travel team circuit.
“I think it went really well. Illinois Rise did very well this summer. We won a couple tournaments. We have a good core team. I think if we stay together we are going to be able to do some good things.”
Sullivan spoke about his game and what makes him an intriguing prospect.
“I have a pretty good back to the basket game. I am also solid at facing up and can handle the ball a little bit. Anything I can do to help my team.”
He is looking forward to his upcoming sophomore season.
“It will be fun this year. I will get to play varsity. We haven’t won a regional in 40 years so I am seeing if I can lead my team to a regional this year. Help out the team. We have a lot of good guards on our team and kids that shoot the ball. It will be a fun year.”
One local college has shown early interest in him.
“I have gone to Northern Illinois camp and talked to them a little bit. That’s it.”
