We are looking at the player that elevated their game and stepped up when it mattered most taking both themselves and their teams to the next level.
Kessel Heat 17U and 15U each shined with their play as a team and had an individual star. Those two stars happened to have the same last name! On the 17U level it was Connor Peterson who will be reclassifying to 2016 and attending Brewster Academy that made noise. His brother Drew Peterson on the 15U level was just as good and earns our award for program MVP! The Libertyville High School 6’5” 2018 prospect put up some monster scoring numbers when we saw him play. He has such a smooth and effortless game!
Peterson’s standout weekend which put him on the radar was at the NY2LA Sports Invitational back in the spring. He was great at getting in the lane and finishing around the hoop with short shots, runners, and acrobatic finishes. The young wing prospect is a plus athlete that handles it great. Put himself among the top 2018 wings in the state with his play this summer.
