ACBL: 4th Team

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On Saturday March 30th I attended the&nbsp;<strong>ACBL</strong>&nbsp;hosted by Kenny Mullins located at the Glendale Prep.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I viewed 17U and 16U teams. I ended up watching exactly 11 teams of five 16U and six 17U.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are some All-League performances for the league.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These are based on the ONE game I viewed the team. These are NOT prospect rankings.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">We move over to the 4th Team Standouts</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2282925' first='Jacob' last='Hunter'] Liberty (AZ Factory 16)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring guard with good size for a freshman. He can score in transition, shoot the three off the pull or catch and hit the mid-range jumper. He will play a couple positions and defend. A long line of Hunter brothers isn't scared for the big moment.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2339084' first='Samuel' last='Kalikilwa'] West Point (AZ Factory 16)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A taller shooting guard is wired to score. He can score on offensive rebound put backs with some athletic ability, euro step to the basket plus stop and pop from mid-range. He can rattle threes off the catch and he looks like a nice sleeper from West Point.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1893678' first='Chris' last='King'] AZ Compass Prep (AZ Grind 16)&nbsp;(Pictured) </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A hyper athletic scoring guard has grown two inches and comes with an elite burst to get to the rim. He has a tough mid-range pull-up and uses his long arms and quick twitch to collect steals and get deflections.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2396139' first='Kristian' last='White'] Palo Verde (Team RHJ 16)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A shooting guard is a long lefty who can get to the basket with longer strides. He is a good rebounder using his athleticism. The two-sport standout is a track athlete and uses his speed to play the passing lanes. He is a sneaky good passer and takes charges. He will also dive on the floor for a loose ball.  </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1336442' first='Zane' last='Gaul'] Prescott (Factory 17)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The big man has good size, long arms and great strength. He will grab out of area rebounds with two hands and block shots in his area. He smartly stands tall and holds his positon in the paint. He will score with his back to the basket, tips ins and put backs.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1334830' first='Nigel' last='Anderson'] Dysart ([program_tooltip program_id='2301191' first='Team' last='Rise N Grind'] 17)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A long wing forward can score getting downhill and he is a quick second jumper to score on offensive rebound put backs. He will dribble thru the defense with either hand and often cuts without the ball. He is a sneaky good passer and defends a few positions.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2133596' first='Marcel' last='Calvin'] Paragon Academy (AZ Gremlins 17)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A shooting guard is very fast in the open court and will score thru contact. He can rip thru and ball fake into a spin move impressively. He can shoot it from elbow and in and gets to the foul line. He is active on defense and brings energy. Watch your head on the break with his next level bounce! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
