Recruiting Report: Chris Conway (2020)
Naperville Central 2020 post Chris Conway is one of the more intriguing posts in the state’s sophomore class. He has a long and lanky build with a projectable frame at 6’7”. Excellent rebounder that high points the ball at its highest point and outlets it to his guards. Consistently gets on the glass. Has a chance to be an excellent shot blocking and post defender down the road. Prospect with projectable upside that D1 schools need to be monitoring heading into the season.
He ran with the ET21 Buckeyes last summer.
“It went really good. I played on both the 15U and 16U teams. It was nice getting exposure and figuring out where I can get better. Work on my game overall.”
What areas did he see the biggest growth?
“Definitely confidence. Playing up and out our team was the big thing. Just getting more confident with my play.”
He also discussed his upcoming high school season.
“I think varsity is going to do well. We have a good group of guys and if we do our part we will go far.”
Conway broke down what he bring to the table as a player and prospect.
“I think the biggest thing people don’t expect is my ability to shoot. That is the big thing I have been working on. I want to improve on my dribbling. I would say my post up and shooting are my best right now.”
What is going on with recruiting?
“I have been in contact with UIC and Valparaiso. I like their organization and how they have been successful over the years.”
