Walker has had a fantastic April with his new I4 team. There’s always been intrigue with the rising junior as he has good height and flashes of promising athleticism. Now he’s started to cash in on those traits by keeping it simple in a few different viewings. Including a big time putback dunk in their game against MoKan’s 16U team. He also battled around the rim on defense, and even disrupted passing lanes with his height, wingspan and activity. Playing with a good motor is half the battle for prospects, and Walker appears to have embraced that. Giving him next level potential.

Walker provides additional depth and is one of the diamond in the rough prospects for Oklahoma’s 2027 class. Has potential as a rim runner and rim protector, as he has plus wingspan and gets off the floor well for his size. Continuing to improve his lateral movement will help be a valuable defensive piece throughout the spring and summer.

Walker made a mark in the second half, flying around and making plays around the rim on defense. Grabbed boards, affected a few different shots, and recorded a couple bocks too. Including one impressive two handed “verticality” style block where he held his ground. A moment later he made a block, ran the floor and his teammates rewarded him by feeding him for a finish at the rim.

made a huge impact at The Expo by dominating the interior. He is a very versatile defender who protected the rim well but was also able to stick with opponents along the perimeter. His ability to roam as a help defender also stood out as one of the strongest parts of his game. Walker primarily served as a play-finisher as he found open spots and finished strong through the defense.

Ty was the paint anchor for his team as they advanced to a 4-0 weekend in pool play. A glass cleaner at times, mashing inside to fight for rebounds. Showed some solid speed and mobility out in space, has a simple style looking to take what’s given on court. His conditioning seemed to be a focus as he played a ton of minutes each game and didn’t look tired much, still giving hustling effort more often than not. His size and length make him a target on the fast break. He can get active without the ball, setting screens and cutting well. High potential for a player who passes the eye test already.
