Jaylen was one of the most athletic players I watched all weekend at Flyght Academy, and he made sure to use that athleticism to impact the game. Against Ryze Athletics, he seemed to come up with every 50/50 ball. Defensively, he was a lockdown on-ball defender who made it extremely difficult for Ryze to get into their offense comfortably. Jaylen is an uber-athletic do-it-all guard with a very high ceiling and the ability to affect winning in multiple ways.

Gent is the grandson of Kentucky legend Jack “Goose” Givens. He has good tools and has a high feel for the game. It remains to be seen if Jaylen gets the size that his grandpa had but he has already been playing AAU at a high level with the Team Goose program that has been really good this spring. Gent is a player to keep tabs on as he could play a lot at Sayre, starting this summer.
