This past weekend at Flyght Academy, there were plenty of standout performances from under-the-radar players at the We've Got Next Tournament. Some of these breakout performances came from quick, high-IQ guards who controlled the pace of the game, while others came from dominant bigs who owned the paint on both ends of the floor. Here are five breakout performers from the We've Got Next Tournament.

Quincy is a lengthy guard with a great handle who plays at his own pace. He is very crafty around the rim and finishes tough layups with creativity and touch. Against Cincinnati Rockerz Elite, Quincy was consistently getting to his spots and creating separation with his handle. He showed the ability to score at all three levels and kept the defense guessing throughout the game. With a little more consistency, Quincy has the tools to take his game to another level.

Jaylen was one of the most athletic players I watched all weekend at Flyght Academy, and he made sure to use that athleticism to impact the game. Against Ryze Athletics, he seemed to come up with every 50/50 ball. Defensively, he was a lockdown on-ball defender who made it extremely difficult for Ryze to get into their offense comfortably. Jaylen is an uber-athletic do-it-all guard with a very high ceiling and the ability to affect winning in multiple ways.

Elias is the type of big man every team would love to have. He plays with a high motor, is relentless on the glass, and pairs that effort with polished post skills and great footwork around the basket. He is not a black hole when he gets touches inside either, as he does a great job reading the defense and kicking the ball out to open shooters. Elias is a high-IQ big with a lot of skill and a strong understanding of the game.

Havier had it rolling against Team Hopson. In the first half, he showcased his playmaking ability by consistently finding teammates for easy baskets. He did a great job beating defenders off the dribble and making the correct read once the defense collapsed. In the second half, he completely caught fire from deep, knocking down five threes in the game, including four after halftime. Havier is an elite catch-and-shoot threat with a quick release and the ability to heat up in a hurry.

Quinn is a lengthy guard with a smooth jumper and a very polished all-around game. The first thing that stood out was how well he moved without the ball, whether it was cutting to the basket or finding open space on the perimeter. Against Team Goose, he consistently made winning plays and impacted the game in multiple areas. Despite being matched up against bigger players, he held his own in the post and used his length well to contest shots. On the perimeter, he was tough to get by defensively and disrupted the flow of the opposing offense. Quinn is the type of player any coach would love to have on their team.
