As a younger prospect, every time I saw Nick play, he was relying more on his athleticism than his skill. As he’s matured, so has Prater’s game. A crucial third scoring option for the Commodores, Nick is a slashing wing who still uses his athleticism to elevate at the rim but he has also shown good defensive instincts which allow him to shoot gaps for steals on defense and get into transition off of steals. He’s proving to be one of the best young players in the mountains.
