Prep Hoops Indiana Sectional Preview – Class 2A North

We are just a week away from the beginning of the 114th Annual IHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament. On Sunday evening we received brackets for the Sectional round as teams learned how their path to Gainbridge Fieldhouse would begin. We will spend the week here at Prep Hoops Indiana going in-depth across the state touching on all 64 Sectionals. Let's now take a look at the eight Sectionals that make up the Class 2A North.   <a href="https://prephoops.com/2024/02/prep-hoops-indiana-sectional-preview-class-1a-north/">Class 1A North Preview</a>   <a href="https://prephoops.com/2024/02/prep-hoops-indiana-sectional-preview-class-1a-south/">Class 1A South Preview</a>   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">The Brackets</h2>   Sectional 33 (Bowman Academy): Lighthouse CPA vs. Gary 21st Century, Bowman Academy vs. Andrean, North Newton vs. Illiana Christian, Whiting vs. Winner Game 1   Sectional 34 (North Judson): LaVille vs. South Bend Career, Wheeler vs. Hebron, North Judson vs. Winner Game 1, South Central (Union Mills) vs. Winner Game 2   Sectional 35 (Westview): Westview vs. Fremont, Churubusco vs. Prairie Heights, Central Noble vs. Winner Game 1, Eastside vs. Winner Game 2   Sectional 36 (Lewis Cass): Wabash vs. Rochester, North Miami vs. Winamac, Pioneer vs. Winner Game 1, Lewis Cass vs. Winner Game 2   Sectional 37 (Bluffton): South Adams vs. Adams Central, Manchester vs. Whitko, Bluffton vs. Fort Wayne Luers, Fort Wayne Blackhawk vs. Winner Game 1   Sectional 38 (Lafayette Central Catholic): Lafayette Central Catholic vs. Seeger, Carroll (Flora) vs. Delphi, Clinton Prairie vs. Winner Game 1, Covington vs. Winner Game 2   Sectional 39 (Tipton): Tipton vs. Elwood, Taylor vs. Blackford, Madison-Grant vs. Eastbrook, Eastern (Greentown) vs. Winner Game 1   Sectional 40 (Alexandria): Winchester vs. Alexandria, Wes-Del vs. Muncie Burris, Wapahani vs. Lapel, Monroe Central vs. Winner Game 1   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Toughest Sectional</h2>   This is probably one of the easier decisions we will make in this Sectional preview series. When it comes to Class 2A North, Sectional 37 at Bluffton is without question the toughest bracket to survive. Realistically, you could make a strong case that five of the seven teams could come out of this one with Blackhawk Christian, Adams Central, Manchester, Whitko, and Bishop Luers. Out of those five contenders for Sectional 37, they all have at least 16 wins on the year. Regardless of who advances, we are are guaranteed to get great matchups in the semifinals and championship games on Friday and Saturday next week. This one is wide-open.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Under-the-Radar Sectional</h2>   This category is a little harder to pick than the one above because there are a few here that you could argue as the most under-the-radar sectional. The two that standout right away are Sectionals 39 and 40 which both have legitimate Class 2A title contenders in them. Narrowing it down even further, Sectional 39 probably takes the title of most under-the-radar Sectional in this north simply because six of the seven teams have at least 2 wins over Sectional 39 opponents with Blackford having the most with three.
