Expert Analysis
Daniel Siehndel | Prep Hoops Scout
Thomas’ physical frame served him well this weekend, as one of the better put-together overall prospects, allowing him to find success using his size and strength. He flashed shot-blocking ability and rebounding instincts, while also using his strength effectively on the defensive end across different matchups. Offensively, his perimeter game was his biggest asset, as he knocked down multiple long-range triples — some coming in crunch time. He also looked comfortable creating in the midrange or attacking off the wing. He continues to show a dynamic ability to play multiple positions and fill different roles on both ends of the floor.

Monday night saw Summit Christian take down Heritage Christian, with Thomas leading the charge. He put together a strong 26-point, 10-rebound performance and really controlled the game on both ends of the floor.
His outside shooting set the tone early. After knocking down a few shots from deep, the defense had to respect him, and that’s when everything started to open up. With the floor spaced, he attacked off the bounce, getting downhill and finishing aggressively at the rim. Whether it was rising up for a dunk or coming to two feet, absorbing contact, and powering through, he consistently found ways to convert.
Defensively, he protected the rim with timely shot blocks and disrupted passing lanes, creating live-ball turnovers. Those steals turned into open-floor opportunities where he could get out, play with pace, and put even more pressure on the defense. It was a complete performance that showed how much he can influence the game in every phase.

He’s a connector, fostering chemistry by encouraging his teammates and leading by example. Whether it’s making the extra pass, stepping up defensively, or keeping the team motivated during tough stretches, Mike’s contributions are invaluable.
