There were a number of new names that played big roles in Tip Off Classic games. Here are the new names to know!

[player_tooltip player_id='2295283' first='DeAngelo' last='Dungey'] of Breck (6'2 soph). We have talked about so many players in the past half year from a deep Breck team. Then you add in Dungey who played good minutes with his steady shooting and smart decisions with the ball against the Alexandria press, and it's an even deeper team. Dungey scored ten points on four shots with three boards and two assists.

James Fager of Lakeville North (6'3 jr). Fager gave the Panthers a fourth scoring option in a game against a loaded Park Center team where they had to have one. Fager made two threes, scored his dozen on 5 of 6 shooting with seven boards. Steady junior that stepped up in one of his first varsity games (and it was on a big stage).

[player_tooltip player_id='2104513' first='Kyle' last='Frendt'] of East Ridge (6'5 jr). It's been a long time since I've seen a guy take no field goal attempts but have such a big impact on a game. Frendt dominated the paint with his 15 rebounds as well as his complete disallowance of the Hopkins big to catch the ball after the first play of the game. Throw in 7 of 10 foul shooting and it was a nice impression.

[player_tooltip player_id='2104512' first='Hudson' last='Greene'] of Lakeville South (6'6 jr). Greene is a good sized forward with a really nice shooting touch. He knocked out three threes, three more mid-range jumpers, and scored 19 points for the game. An extra scoring element for the Cougars.

Hayden Guggemos of Holy Family (6'2 jr). Hayden played his role well. Scored four active buckets, forced nothing, played reasonably good defense, and was a player that Holy Family put on the floor and could trust in a big game spot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1946855' first='Samson' last='Hagstrom'] of Alexandria (6'1 jr). Hagstrom's numbers may not jump off the page but I thought he did a really nice job playing actively within the Alexandria pressure defense. He moved the ball for some assists, grabbed some boards, got to the foul line on attacks for three scoring possessions and looks to give the Cards a quickness element on th wing.

[player_tooltip player_id='1549739' first='Kamryn' last='Mestas'] of Eastview (6'4 sr). Mestas just moved back to Minnesota from Iowa and has given the Lightning another main scoring option. Tough game today scoring three times but had a nice start to the season and will be a consistent active wing threat all year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2296650' first='Brayden' last='Sandmann'] of Wayzata (6'3 sr). Sandmann has been a name in the box score that caught my attention this week but he really caught attention when the game was tied, TG had a chance to score, and Brayden stole the ball from [player_tooltip player_id='1574227' first='Chace' last='Watley'] giving his team a chance to win the game (and they did). Brayden also scored four times and had three assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1798919' first='Nolan' last='Segner'] of Eastview (6'7 sr). Nolan is a new name for me. Good length, has a nice little face-up game hitting three jumpers (two of them from long range). Scored ten points as Eastview's second leading scorer plus had three of the second half assists that shaved 25 points off a lead.
