We recently updated our 2025 class rankings for Virginia heading into the season, and we have a lot of new faces and movement in the class. Heading into their junior year, we have a lot of movement and new additions to this group. However, there will always be omissions and debates regarding placement among the rankings.

Here's a look at part one of the forwards rankings, looking at some of the best power forwards and centers in the rankings.

25) [player_tooltip player_id='2242502' first='William' last='Taylor'] | 6'4” PF | WT Woodson (#113 Overall)

Taylor is part of a Woodson front court that is one of the best in all of NOVA public schools, and he fits in well with the other guys with his versatility and stretch ability. The 6'4” forward is a guy who can guard in the paint and moves his feet well on the perimeter, he is patient in the post using fakes to get defenders off their feet and he can step out and drill it from deep too.

24) [player_tooltip player_id='2148760' first='Preston' last='White'] | 6'6” PF | Gainesville (#112 Overall)

White is a budding prospect who has star capabilities as he continues to improve, and he really stands out on the defensive end with his length and athleticism. He's a high motor guy who never gives up on a play and pursues rebounds hard, he is great in recovery as a shot blocker with good timing and he's willing to do the dirty work to help his team win.

23) [player_tooltip player_id='2242429' first='Anderson' last='Krisko'] | 6'5” C | Marshall (#105 Overall)

Krisko will be very important for Marshall this year that has the talent to compete against the best this year, and his size and inside presence will be vital for their success. He's a blue collar kind of big that plays with great energy on both ends of the floor, he has soft touch in the paint and out to the elbows and he really shines defensively with his ability to alter shots and rebound.

22) [player_tooltip player_id='2148742' first='Liam' last='Koelsch'] | 6'6” C | West Potomac (#100 Overall)

Koelsch is another budding big man in the NOVA public schools to keep an eye on this year, as he's going to get a lot more chances to show his offensive skillset this year. He's a post technician with good hands and good footwork in the post, he's crafty around the rim using fakes and counters to get open and he can score the ball with either hand around the rim.

21 )[player_tooltip player_id='2242418' first='Jack' last='Lloyd'] | 6'4” PF | Flint Hill (#95 Overall)

Lloyd is set to be a problem for opposing teams this year for Flint Hill, as the 6'4” forward is a walking mismatch who creates opportunities for guards and wings to get to the basket. He's a big body who can clear out space and rebound on the defensive end, and offensively he's a driller from deep with a quick release who can open up the floor and is a viable option in the pick-and-pop game.

20) [player_tooltip player_id='1767529' first='Brandon' last='Edozie'] | 6'8” C | Forest Park (#79 Overall)

This could be the breakout year for Edozie that leads to him shooting up the rankings moving forward, as he's chock full of potential that is just waiting to be unleashed. He's grown quite a bit and stands at a legit 6'8” now with a great wingspan, he's mobile to get up and down the floor and uses his mobility to stay in front defensively and his shear size makes him an impact guy in the paint on both ends of the floor.

19) [player_tooltip player_id='1956077' first='Jordan' last='Jackson'] | 6'7” PF | Highland Springs (#76 Overall)

Jackson was important for HSHS last year on their run to the state tournament for the third straight year, and this year he'll be looked at to do even more with them losing much of their scoring from last year. The 6'7” forward is a walking mismatch with his ability to step out on the perimeter to make shots, he runs the floor well and can finish above the rim and his length makes him very good at challenging shots.

18) [player_tooltip player_id='1956076' first='Matt' last='Henderson'] | 6'5” PF | Powhatan (#75 Overall)

Henderson may be in a smaller market in Powhatan just west of Richmond, but he's shown he can play with the best of them and is also a player who shines on the football field. He's the prototypical new age four man who can handle in transition and runs the floor, he's an athletic finisher above the rim and he an switch and guard multiple positions too.

17) [player_tooltip player_id='1956068' first='Jeremiah' last='Morris'] | 6'8” C | King's Fork (#59 Overall)

This will be a big year for Morris who could vault into the upper portions of the rankings with a good junior season, and he will be a tough matchup for many teams in the 757 as he's one of the few legit big men they'll see all year. At 6'8” Morris is a big body in the paint who can clear out space and score it with either hand around the rim, he has soft touch out to the elbows and his size clogs the lane defensively against driving guards.

16) [player_tooltip player_id='1956066' first='Michael' last='Manser'] | 6'7” PF | VA Academy (#57 Overall)

Mansser is another forward who could see his stock improve drastically this season as he continues to improve on an up and coming VA Academy team. The 6'7” forward has a mix of skill and athleticism that makes him productive in a number of ways, he's a good rebounder and gets out in transition where he can use his athleticism to finish and he can step out on the perimeter in the half court where he can knock down shots consistently.
