They were dominate in their play at times and then as young clubs do fell victim to trash talking of the other team or trying to play flashy. They got to play Brookfield East, who they handled on this day. Then after leading Germantown big, they almost allowed them to sneak a victory in a big come back but, were strong enough for the victory.
Sun Prairie West Wolves
Starting five:
Chris Davis Jr | G | 6’4″ | 2025
Clevon Easton Clevon Easton 6'0" | CG Madison East | 2025 WI | G | 6’4″ | 2025
Tavian Crawford Tavian Crawford 6'2" | CG Sun Prairie West | 2025 State WI | G | 6’2″ | 2025
Tyler Haney Tyler Haney 6'1" | CG Sun Prairie | 2025 State WI | G | 6’0″ | 2025
Theo Schofield Theo Schofield 6'5" | PF Waterloo | 2024 State WI | W | 6’5″ | 2024
This is a story of riches here in terms of roster talent, where not many high school teams can run out such a roster. If this starting five and reserves remain intact until the season where it gets locked in, look for this to be an impactful team in the state. One worry or question from the onset would be if there will be enough ball to go around for all of the talent. The coaches are probably already working on strategies to preach working together, execute the basketball play, and play tough team defense. This team is one of shooting with a good solid mix of inside and out shot selection. Enough athleticism to be an explosive above the rim shock & awe style of ball. Then they certainly, with discipline, will be able to get after it on the defensive end. A team that might just be a must see if you are a Wisconsin basketball enthusiast.
Chris Davis, is now consistently playing above the rim. The junior guard had a great sophomore year averaging 20+ ppg. If he stays within himself and plays a disciplined serious type of ball, look for that to repeat. If he can do that the world should open up for him as far as next level. I have seen him struggle a bit against national competition and I have seen him handle a role very well against that same national level competition. He is improving at leaps and bounds currently though., so let’s see what happens here. He moves around the court so well and smooth that you can see the athleticism. Clevon Easton Clevon Easton 6'0" | CG Madison East | 2025 WI , was once the raw impact player as a freshman at Madison East. He has a ton of ability and will make the spectacular look easy at times. If he can eliminate off court distractions, watch out, he should have a solid year. Tavian Crawford Tavian Crawford 6'2" | CG Sun Prairie West | 2025 State WI , seemed to have the light bulb go on towards the end of last season, having a handful of good games late. Then he played very well at a summer Prep Hoops Top250 Event this summer in Appleton. Theo Schofield Theo Schofield 6'5" | PF Waterloo | 2024 State WI , having made the move from another school after a family move, is a big strong wing type player that has made impacts, at either the school ball level or AAU. He can play inside with physical play and nice post moves, or step outside hitting a jumper. Look for him to be the main rebounder and force the club. Tyler Haney Tyler Haney 6'1" | CG Sun Prairie | 2025 State WI , if you remember, was the only freshman to play on a tough Sun Prairie team, before the district created two high schools. He knows how to play varsity ball well and doesn’t make too many basketball mistakes.
Call me a fan of the potential of this club.
