Palmetto State : Region 6-A Players to Watch
The new school year is here and Prep Hoops SC is taking a look at players from regions around the state. Prep Hoops SC will start with Region 6-A down in the Pee Dee area of the state. Here are some players to keep a eye on from this region this season.
Tim “TJ” Fladger (2018) – Creek Bridge HS (Gresham) (pictured on front)
Fladger 6’3 is the bright spot here for Creek Bridge HS. Creek Bridge located on the south end of Marion County is one of the smallest high schools in the Palmetto State. Fladger plays football and hasn’t won a game in two plus seasons on the football field. Fladger has never had much talent around him in both sports. Fladger is a big guard who really sees the floor well.
Shaquille Johnson (2018) – Green Sea-Floyds (Green Sea)
Johnson can be the newcomer of the year in this region after transferring in from North Carolina. Johnson 6’2 wide receiver on the football team is extremely athletic. Johnson a slashing wing should be a welcome addition for the Trojans. Johnson played AAU with the Ascend Ballers.
Kobe Praylow (2018) -Hannah-Pamplico HS
Praylow returns after averagng 21.7 ppg last season for the Red Raiders. Praylow a small guard is playing football this season as a running back. Praylow is a scoring guard who likes the ball in his hands.
Darius “JuJu” Williams (2019) – Hemingway HS
Williams 6’3 might have a future in a Power 5 Conference for football. Williams a DE/OLB helped the Tigers win a Class A State Championship last season. Williams left-handed is a beast in the paint and thrives on contact. Williams averaged 10.8 ppg and 8.1 rebounds last season.
Darius Taylor (2019) – Hemingway HS
Taylor and Williams will look to lead the Tigers back to Columbia this coming March. Taylor 5’11 point guard averaged 10 ppg and 5 assists last season. Taylor a starter since his freshman season also excels on the football as a defensive back. Taylor really can get to the rack and look for his numbers to go up this season with several seniors moving on.
Robert Fuller (2020) – Lake View HS (Lake View)
Fuller is a young and up coming talent. Fuller 6’6 plays at a football and baseball rich tradition school near the North Carolina State line. Fuller still a raw talent played AAU with a local outfit the Lake View Intimidators.
