A look at Bonnabel after the addition of Rodney Munson (Video)
After spending his first two seasons at De La Salle helping the Cavaliers to a Division II state title this past year, 2019 G Rodney Munson is set to start his junior season at Bonnabel. The Bruins were also a top-tier team last year advancing to the championship game in Class 5A but they lost a big piece in 2017 W/F Joe Thompson, now at South Alabama.
Top 2018 PG T.J. Collins will still be suiting up for Bonnabel, though, and he and Munson will easily be one of the top guard duos in the state. Sharpshooting 2019 G Roderick Hackett will also be in the fold and the Bruins also have a few younger players who could make an impact as well including 2020s Jonathan Brock and Tyron Williams, and 2021 F Will Allen.
Munson will give the team another explosive scorer alongside Collins and the Bruins could be deadly behind the 3-point line with the inclusion of Hackett. Before joining Bonnabel, Munson contemplated a move to Crescent City, which is where he played the majority of his summer ball.
Here’s a look at what Munson brought to the court over the last few months with the Pioneers, NOLA23, De La Salle and New Orleans Elite, and you can read more about the 6-foot-1 guard in his Prospect Spotlight by T.J. Rushing.
