The Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo was a sell out this past Sunday. Understandably this results in a deep and talented field. Coverage at such a big event can be difficult. Players were broken into 20 teams. I'll break up the teams into four groups. Providing a decent overview of players who stood out to me throughout the event.

Team 16

[player_tooltip player_id='1961390' first='Morgan' last='Diekevers'] 6-0 2026 Lowell Competitive young guard fit in well amongst older players. Competed hard and made winning basketball plays. Has a good frame already. Looks like he could grow into either the 1 or 2 backcourt positions.

[player_tooltip player_id='1626245' first='Lyna' last='Brooks'] 6-3 2024 Saginaw Arthur Hill One of the better senior performers in the camp. Good one-on-one player who excelled in isolation situations. With Arthur Hill down in Division II this year. The Lumberjacks could be a factor is March. Should form a good duo with 2026 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='2933019' first='Boop' last='Hardy']

Team 17

Carson Daly 6-1 2025 Grand Ledge A trend is developing. When I see Daly playing in Grand Rapids. The Lansing area guard plays well. Caught him at a Grand Valley elite camp in the summer. He also played well at a fall league last weekend. Is a physical no-frills combo guard who shoots the ball well. Has good size and competes hard defensively.

Carl Thompson 6-2 2026 Grand Rapids Christian Led by [player_tooltip player_id='1223497' first='Nathan' last='Johnson']. Christian had a strong contingent of prospects at the expo. Thompson made a case to be next up after this talented senior class moves on. Mature and confident scorer kept coming all day.

Zy'erre DuBose 6-2 2025 Wyoming If Grand Rapids Christian didn't have the deepest roster of representation. Then the Wyoming Wolves did. DuBose is a versatile guard who attacked the basket without fear. Showed quick and sudden movements while appearing to have an extra gear when needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1588174' first='Grady' last='Eklund'] 6-3 2026 Pewamo-Westphalia (pictured) Very impressive day for this young combo guard. Has no problem scoring and shooting the basketball. However I think the most intriguing part of his long term potential is his playmaking ability. Sees the court and handles the ball very well. Understandable as he has good basketball bloodlines. You can tell he grew up around the gym. Could develop into taller point guard prospect.

Layton Krohn 6-4 2024 Elkton Pigeon Laker Speaking a tall point guard prospects. I don't think Krohn is as natural of a playmaker as Eklund. However has a similar all around skill set. Is a hard working player who has hit the camp circuit hard. Consequently even as a 2024. The developmental window is still open for the Thumb area prospect.

Team 18

[player_tooltip player_id='1381451' first='Joe' last='Gaffney'] 5-8 2026 Charlevoix Coming off a big freshman campaign. The Northern Michigan point guard is off to a good start in the fall. Not very big. Offsets that with a strong lower body. Jumps off a two feet on drives. Also keeps defenses honest with deep range on the perimeter. Good ball handler and distributor as well.

Team 19

LeBron Campbell 5-11 2025 Battle Creek Lakeview In the same gym where Campbell first caught my attention with the Battle Creek Bulldawgz. Campbell turned in another strong performance. Has plenty of quickness and a tight handle. Also has good size for a point guard. An inch or two of growth and a consistent outside shot could raise his profile.

Kaleb Brown 6-3 2025 Ann Arbor Huron Huron has been one of the better developmental programs in the state for quite some time. [player_tooltip player_id='1437579' first='Macari' last='Moore'] understandably gets a lot of attention in the 2025 class. Brown's play on Saturday made a case to get into that deep rotation. Confident scorer with length. Attacked the basket with explosion.

[player_tooltip player_id='1454974' first='Denis' last='Medic'] 6-5 2025 Grand Rapids Forest Hills Central Versatile forward prospect with good length. Competed hard defensively and was a presence at the rim. Is light on his feet. Moves like a guard at 6-5. The Rangers will have a new head coach. Along with fellow camp participant [player_tooltip player_id='1709639' first='Brady' last='Miller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1223504' first='Jonas' last='Vanderwoude'] the transition should be smooth.

Team 20

Duece Weston 5-9 2025 Flint Carman Ainsworth Spark plug point guard prospect made plays all day on both ends of the court. Especially on the defensive end. Applied constant ball pressure. Used quickness to get into the lane offensively. Played with his head up and found open teammates.

Jay'Veair García 6-1 Lansing Sexton Sexton is known statewide for its talent within the 2026 class. Garcia's play on Saturday showed there is also talent with the upperclassmen. Lanky build made him appear to play taller than his listed height.

Joey Miller 6-4 2025 Hudsonville Miller provided his usual “jack of all trades” type of performance. I've seen Hudsonville and the [program_tooltip program_id='2077033' first='West' last='Michigan Lakers'] a lot in the past few years. So Miller is not a new prospect to me. Looked stronger and more physically filled out. Is a little bit of a “tweener” at this point of his development. However as a 2025. Still has two years to find his positional home.

[player_tooltip player_id='1618171' first='Brennan' last='Deutsch'] 6-5 2025 Rockford Younger brother of recent Rams standout and Olivet bound Charlie Deutsch. Is a little different as a prospect right now. Has a long and lanky frame. Uses it well and plays big at the rim. Quick feet also allows him to also be presence out on the perimeter. As Rockford reloads. There is a lot of talent in the 2025 and 2026 classes.
