Between Comp Edge Fall League action and the hundreds of games at the Big 64 Showcase, there was an enormous amount of high school basketball to watch over the weekend.

On jam packed weekends like this past one, we always discover and take note of “new names” on the recruiting scene. It is our duty to inform you on these prospects so that when the high school season rolls around, you will know their names.

Below are five “new” prospects who impressed us this past weekend.

Kamani Healey – 6'3” / 2025 / Abington Friends / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] Select / Combo Guard: Technically Healey is not a new name. However, this year he is playing for a new school, and he also reclassed into the 2025 graduate year. So, we are including him in this post. This weekend at the Big 64 Healey proved that he could score at all three levels. He posted 20 points against CB East and made it look easy. In addition to scoring, Healey continues to be a menacing on-ball defender. Healey plugs into a talented AFS lineup, so opponents will not be a to double team him. Thus, we are expecting a monster 2023-24 season from him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2093823' first='David' last='Maddrey-Rylander'] – 6'2” / 2025 / Bishop Shanahan / Chesco Storm / Wing: With his long strides and speed, this versatile athlete glides up and down the court. On offense Maddrey-Rylander can play 1 through 3. He can score on the fast break, knock home threes, and convert offensive rebounds. At the other end of the court, Maddrey-Rylander is solid rim protector.

Xzavion Robertson – 5'10” / 2024 / Rocktop Academy / [program_tooltip program_id='2078709' first='Team' last='Final'] Red / Point Guard: Robertson is a quick lefty with a deep bag of dribble moves. Whether it he is out in transition or in the half court, Robertson can get to the cup and finish through contact with either hand. Additionally, Robertson can splash threes of every variety. Even with all these impressive scoring skills, Robertson owns solid court vision and is a willing passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2226364' first='Anthony' last='Washington'] – 5'11” / 2024 / Dock Mennonite / PSB Philly / Point Guard: The Bicentennial Athletic League boasts numerous under the radar prospects, and Washington is at the top of the list. Washington can create off the dribble for himself and teammates. His solid frame allows him to bully his way into the paint. Washington's change of pace and hesitation moves are extremely impressive. When Washington is not making plays off the bounce, he is knocking home triples.

[player_tooltip player_id='2237247' first='Albert' last='Zone'] – 5'10″ / 2025 / LaSalle CHS / Next Play / Combo Guard: Between graduation and transfers LaSalle is going through a rebuild in 2023-24. However, the outstanding guard play of Zone may have this squad ahead of schedule. Zone is extremely versatile, high IQ backcourt prospect. He can run at either guard spot. He can score and distribute. He excels on the fast break and in the half-court. On defense Zone is a plus defender who uses his physicality to body smaller guards of their spots.
