Around the State : Greenville County (2018) Part 1
Greenville County has no shortage of schools at all. Prep Hoops will look to break down the players from this county in few different parts. Prep Hoops is your leader in basketball coverage in the Palmetto State.
Damarcus Leamon – Berea HS
Leamon a duel sport athlete also excels on the football field as a wide receiver for the Bulldogs. Leamon 6’3 averaged 7.5 ppg and 5.3 rebounds last season for the 21-6 Bulldogs. Leamon played AAU this summer with the South Carolina Bucks. Leamon really wants to play at the next level he told Prep Hoops.
Pantry McKinney – Eastside (Taylors)
McKinney was named Region Player of the Year last season. McKinney 5’11 combo guard is strong with the ball and can get to the rack quite easily. Prep Hoops first saw McKinney play back with the Upstate Warriors earlier this fall then with the South Carolina Bucks in July.
Sam Gravley – Greer HS
Gravley 6’2 played well last month on the AAU Circuit before getting hurt. Gravley a system player pops off screens for open looks and knocks down shots at a high percentage. Gravley shoots the 3 ball and likes to set up shop in the left corner of the floor.
Ryan Pearson – Greer HS
Pearson plays in the post with a wrapped right knee. Pearson 6’4 is a deceptive athlete can step-out and knockdown shots. Pearson is a very vocal player out on the floor calling out screens and recognizing defenses.
Jamal Burke – Southside HS (Greenville)
Burke 6’8 will look to add to his 4.1 ppg last season. Burke has the ability to play face-up can knock down the 12-14 footer when given the chance. Burke helped the Tigers win the 3A State Championship last season over Dillon HS.
Tuzion Brock – Southside HS (Greenville) (pictured on front)
Brock 5’10 point guard is back for the Tigers offense. Brock brings a relentless attitude and to the floor. Brock averaged 9.6 ppg last season. Brock has great elevation on his shot. Brock and Tigers teammate Burke run AAU with Team South Carolina.
D’Cameron Range – Wade Hampton HS
Range is a player that just does all the little things on the floor to help your team win games. Range rebounds the ball very well for his size and has a great nose for the ball. Range played with Team South Carolina on AAU circuit.
