Tayden is an elite finisher around the rim, despite being one of the shortest players on the floor. He is very strong and has great body control, being able to absorb contact from an opponent to still finish hard. He was converting on tough layups from many different angles and was never scared to attack a defender bigger than him. Wilke can also shoot it from deep and was a prospect I came away really impressed with this weekend.
A three-year varsity performer at Menasha, Wilke has added strength and physical play from his backcourt position to his game over the last 12 months or so. Always a good scorer, Wilke can now run a team at the point or knock down perimeter shots at the wing guard spot. Defensively, he has the quickness, toughness and physical strength to keep opponents off balance. He finished with 12 points and a pair of three-point baskets in Next Level Grind
‘s win over Drive Pro out of Iowa.
He runs with NLG 17U Baker and is up to 5’10”. Wilke is known for his ability to finish at the rack and shoot the 3-ball at a high level. He is only a soph but has exceeded expectations and is playing a pivotal role on his squad. Everyone is excited to see what Wilkie will do in high school ball next winter, he got game. But before we worry about next winter, lets watch Tayden this weekend and see what he has.
