Eckel joins an already talented OCA team where he’ll be a perfect addition to the backcourt. He’s one of the purest shooters in the state, capable of changing the momentum of a game with just a couple of made threes.

He excels in catch-and-shoot situations thanks to his quick release, high arc, and fearless confidence. If defenders give him even a sliver of space, he’ll make them pay. Eckel also moves well without the basketball, consistently finding open spots on the floor and creating easy scoring opportunities. His shooting ability is exactly what OCA needs as the Saints look to make another deep playoff run.

Eckel is working his way back from a knee injury, and is the type of player to elevate a team’s floor. He’s a sniper from the corners, and often makes the little plays on defense and offense that make life easier for his teammates. With a strong build, he can steal some minutes as an undersize with rebonds and using leverage against taller foes.

A tough do it all prospect for the Knights. Has impressed back to back weekends by doing the little things and playing physical. Strong, physical finisher around the rim. Will out work taller players to get on the glass, on both ends of the floor. Looks to be the ideal glue guy, who makes his teammate’s lives easier. Possibly could be the Knight to most fit the “Heart, Hustle, Hardwood” vibes their new coach is trying to bring to the private school powerhouse.
