Expert Analysis
Corey Clair | Prep Hoops Scout
Davis is a physically dominant and high-motor frontcourt prospect in the 2027 class who thrives as a true interior presence. While many young Bigs drift toward the perimeter, he embraces the role of a traditional enforcer, controlling the paint with toughness, relentless energy, and a powerful frame. His impact extends far beyond the stat sheet, as he consistently dictates the physicality and emotional intensity of the game through rebounding, rim protection, and nonstop effort. Davis doesn’t require plays to be called for him to influence winning in a major way. Davis projects as s high-value internal anchor at the collegiate level. Programs looking for a modern-day physical enforcer who values efficiency, screen-setting, and high-volume dirty work over high-volume isolation touches will view him as a priority target in the 2027 class.

Davis has shown improvement in his game, and if you watch him play, you can see that he is dominant. Not dominant in a score 30-point sense, but dominant in presence. He defends with intensity, finishes with efficiency and manages the team intensity by being on the court. The traditional big man doesn’t get the tough calls but is expected to finish. Through it all this big man plays the game. He celebrates at times when he gets the occasional and one, but he hustles regardless. He is the #1 PF in the state for a reason, and coaches will love his energy, effort and poise on the court.

Davis is a true big man, and he could be a key to bossier future championship aspirations. He looks to have leaned out his frame and moves more fluidly, but the game is still the same. Get him in the post and bully his way to the goal. He is an intimidator with a game that is predicated on power and not poise. If you don’t have a 6’8 big on your team, he has the potential to dominate. His touch around the rim is soft, and he uses the rim to finish on either side. He is the #1 ranked Power Forward in the state for a reason, and his showcase performance was just a reinforcement of that fact.
