High School Summer Shootout: Backcourt Matchups to Watch

The High School Summer Shootout takes place this weekend and features plenty of intriguing guard battles. The latter is a lanky guard who knows how to get to the basket and can finish through contact. Burton uses his quick first step to blow by his defender and is a good finisher around the basket. They are both good on-ball defenders who makes it hard for their man to get to their spot on the floor. The 6'4 guard can also score in the mid-range and shoots the ball with confidence on the perimeter. Clayville has a quick release on his jumper and can put up points in bunches. They are both dynamic with the ball in their hands as they have tight handles and can get to the rim off the bounce. Williams plays with good court vision and is unafraid of taking big shots in key situations. Grant has a clean release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Jones is at his best attacking the basket as he can finish in a variety of ways around the rim and is unafraid of contact. Jones is more than just a slasher as he can also hit tough jumpers on the perimeter. Waters has a quick first step which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and makes plays in the lane.
