Darius Beane to SIU
The Salukis are on the board with a big commitment! Carbondale 2018 guard Darius Beane tells us that he will be staying home to play for SIU. Why were the Salukis his choice?
“I chose SIU because it’s home. I heard from several schools who were going to come watch me play this year, but I decided to commit now because it’s home and I been here all my life so it’s home to me.”
Beane is a 6’3″ combo guard that is a versatile prospect with the ability to beat a defense in a variety of ways. Plus pull up jump shooter especially from 15-18 feet. Excellent passer that plays with a high basketball IQ. Has a chance to be a very good defender at next level.
He played with Gateway on the Adidas circuit. Beane is the #20 overall player and #5 shooting guard in the class. His father is an assistant at SIU and brother Anthony recently starred there!
