He moves very well for his size and does a great job of rotating over for help in the paint to swat a shot away or get a good contest. His timing for blocking jump shots is what makes him a complete shot blocker as he has nice speed to quickly get out to alter those shots on the perimeter.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1623005"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Arrington can do a lot of special things on the defensive side of the ball but shot blocking is how he gets the job done. With his long arms, he can just simply stand straight up and he will block most shots. Arrington will look to help if his teammate gets beat off the dribble. His ability to get chase down blocks if he gets beat himself gives him the ultimate advantage. He can switch onto the perimeter every once in a while and swat jump shooters.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1949268"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Elijah is a defensive beast down low in the paint. His physical presence makes him very intimidating to go up against when trying to challenge him. He will swat any shot close to him and can move and help on double teams all around the court. Elijah has great recovery timing on blocking shots and uses his strong body to get in the way of players. He recorded 62 blocks this past season.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["1472516"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"Ekhelar has all the tools and gifts to be a complete all-around center. When it comes to the defensive end he can do a lot of special things. Ekhelar will look to block multiple shots in a possession if his team cannot secure the rebound. His timing on his jumps is as good as anyone's which allows him to get great contests and block many shots. He runs the floor like a guard and in transition can make some impressive chase-down blocks.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["1919183"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Okonkwo has a motor that just never stops throughout an entire game. He has all the energy in the world to block and contest every shot that comes his way. Not only does he never stop moving but when he does block your shot it's a loud and impactful one. Okonkwo makes offensive players think twice before going to the rim. He can switch onto anyone and move just as fast as a point guard. There isn't a shot he cannot block. Okonkwo finished with 63 blocks this past season.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-64a5aed2b35e0"} /-->

Shot blocking in basketball can be very a difficult thing to do for many players. It can be especially challenging for players who lack size also.
