Powerade Finale Standout Players : Late Afternoon games
Listed below are some of the top player that we saw during the late afternoon games at the PowerAde Circuit Finale:
Team Speights 2019 PG Treyvon Reiser: Another player from the Team Speights squad that was named to the PowerAde All-American Camp, he has impressive ball handling and decision making skills. One thing that I really liked about him was the way he approached the game, he has business like attitude when he steps on the floor to go with his skills. Due to his stellar play he picked up some college interest including Lees Mcrae College (D2).
Pure Prep 2017 Wing Atticus Taylor: A very nice looking prospect overall, he played the PF spot for his squad since they were undersized but he clearly is a wing prospect. He is a very athletic player that can finish above the rim as well as challenging and blocking shots on the defensive end of the floor. He has what we would call a lean frame at this point but plays much bigger and stronger than his size would suggest.
Wisconsin United 2018 Point Guard Keontae White: Showed outstanding passing ability, he does a great job of making the correct reads and put passes on target for teammates even if the gaps in the defense are small. At 6’1 he’s not the tallest PG but has decent size and solid quickness to get the job done.
Pure Prep 2019 Guard Henry Drake Jr: One of the smallest players on the floor but he played with some of the most heart and energy. He reminds me somewhat of Darnell Rogers who played for CP3 a few years back, he’s quick , strong and plays with a chip on his shoulder.
Wisconsin United 2018 Forward Breontae Hunt: A nice looking prospect overall at the wing position, he’s about 6’5 with nice athletic ability and a decent wingspan. He has solid athleticism and can score the ball in various way, plays the game with a nice amount of toughness and brings a winning mentality on the floor.
