From his physical stature to his basketball IQ and decision-making with the ball, he seems well-prepared for the next level. His exceptional feel for the game allows him to elevate the performance of his teammates, making the game appear effortless. Williams demonstrates an instinctual understanding of how to create opportunities for his teammates from various positions on the court. His ability to assess the court and locate open teammates, even while in motion, is truly remarkable and showcases his excellent court vision and passing skills.
Kalon Hargrove Kalon Hargrove 5’10” | PG San Antonio Harlan | 2024 State TX proved to be an extraordinary athlete, both on the ground game and in the air. His quickness, speed, and acceleration empower him to make explosive first steps and break ankles with his dribbling skills. Kalon’s shiftiness and ability to change directions quickly were notable assets as well. Hargrove’s leaping ability gave him the ability to finish with power above the rim in the open floor with one and two hands and also block shots with impeccable timing and hand-eye coordination. With a well-built upper body and huge calves, Hargrove looks as if he possess the build of an exceptional all-around athlete.
Chase Ashby Chase Ashby 6’3″ | PG Atascocita | 2024 TX displayed exceptional skills and IQ as Atascocita’s floor general as he controlled the game by effectively dictating the tempo and exploiting the defense’s weaknesses. Ashby’s ability to distribute the ball with precise drop-off and kick-out passes consistently set up his teammates for scoring opportunities. Ashby stood out as a strategic playmaker that plays a very crucial role in orchestrating the team’s offense.
Ashton Simmons Ashton Simmons 6’3″ | PG West Brook | 2024 State #228 Nation TX showcased his effectiveness on the defensive as one of the most impactful on-ball and perimeter defenders in the gym. His ability to shut down his opponent and disrupt their offensive flow was remarkable. What set Simmons apart was his knack for translating his defensive prowess into offensive opportunities, often scoring in transition after forcing turnovers with on-ball steals or by jumping the passing lanes. Simmons showed a relentless determination to stop his man from scoring as he never gave up on a play and made opposing guards work tirelessly for every inch and every shot they got.
At the TABC, Jordan Mizell Jordan Mizell 6’3″ | CG Plano East Senior | 2024 State TX looked like a college ready point guard with a skillset that translate immediately at the next level. The combination of craftiness, acrobatic skills, and scoring abilities inside were on full display. His remarkable body control and touch on reverse layups highlighted his finesse around the rack. Mizell showed a great knack for consistently getting high-percentage shots and converting them at a high rate even when faced with fouls or contact, the way Jordan finished the play is what set him apart. His knack for creating off the dribble for himself and finding ways was get through the lane was truly impressive. It’s no wonder he blew everyone away with his incredible play this past weekend.

W.T. White is fortunate to have a standout player in Steven Cruz, a highly skilled and very instinctive point guard. Cruz’s ability to read the game and make smart decisions, whether he has the ball or not, changed the game. His knockdown three-point shooting made him a constant threat from beyond the arc. He displayed a quick trigger release off the dribble as well as the catch, particularly when letting it fly around the left wing of the court. Whenever a defender closed out on him, Cruz utilized his explosive first step to blow by them and attack the basket. What made Cruz so remarkable was his knack for capitalizing on the defensive gaps and maximizing every opportunity that came his way.
