The shooting guard position in the 2027 class was one of the deepest groups on display at the TABC Showcase. While the position continues to evolve toward versatility and positional size, the common trait among the top performers was their ability to impact winning in multiple ways. Whether it was scoring at all three levels, defending multiple positions, rebounding outside their area, or creating offense when possessions broke down, these prospects separated themselves throughout the weekend. Several guards elevated their stock significantly by proving they possess the physical tools, skill, and competitiveness that college coaches covet in today's game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252157' first='Isaiah' last='Santos'] was clearly the most impactful shooting guard I evaluated throughout the weekend. He affected the game in virtually every category, defending at a high level, rebounding consistently, and scoring efficiently from all areas of the floor. Santos repeatedly got downhill to finish through contact while also displaying a reliable perimeter jumper that kept defenses honest. His combination of positional size, athleticism, and competitive motor allowed him to impact winning on both ends of the floor. He looked every bit like one of the premier wing prospects in the 2027 class.

His confidence as a scorer stood out, but equally impressive was his ability to play within the flow of the offense while making timely plays. Guy's blend of size, skill, and athleticism continues to make him one of the more intriguing shooting guards in Texas.
