Biggest Stock Risers of the first July Recruiting Period
Adam Kunkel (Cooper HS, 2018) – The rising senior continued his terrific summer while racking up more offers. Playing with Twenty Two Vision at the Adidas Uprising Gauntlet Championship, the 6’3 combo guard added offers from Youngstown State, Indiana State, Tennessee Tech, UNC Asheville, Boston University, Wofford and Presbyterian. That brings his offer total to 15 with 2 more weeks to garner more. He will be in Louisville with 22 Vision this weekend.
Mickey Pearson (John Hardin HS, 2018) – Kunkel’s 22 Vision teammate, Pearson picked up offers from St. Bonaventure, Robert Morris and Tennessee Tech. The offer from the Bonnies is an interesting one and leads you to wonder if other A-10 schools may get involved soon. Pearson can be a matchup nightmare with his ability to put the ball on the floor while standing 6’8”.
Andrew Taylor (Corbin HS, 2018) – The former member of 22 Vision (currently playing with the Louisville Magic) picked up his 22nd, 23rd, 24th and 25 offers this past weekend. Jacksonville State, Kent State, Rice University and Austin Peay are the latest to extend a scholarship offer to the potential 2018 Kentucky Mr. Basketball. It will be interesting to see if he picks up high major offers in the next 2 weeks.
Kyle Rode (Lexington Christian, 2019) – One of the standouts of a loaded 2019 class in the Commonwealth, Rode has added offers from Northern Kentucky, Samford and Southeast Missouri since the Adidas championships got underway last week. Standing a legitimate 6’7” and possessing a high skill level, Rode figures to continue adding to his offer list over the next two weeks with Indiana Elite.
Other Top Performers
Steven Fitzgerald (Pulaski County, 2018) – Received an offer from Ball State after a good showing at the Adidas Championship in Spartanburg.
Michael Moreno (Scott County, 2019) – Northern Kentucky gave Moreno his latest offer after another good weekend with Indiana Elite 16u.
Chance Moore (Fern Creek, 2017) – The Fern Creek graduate is headed for a prep year at Beckley Prep in West Virginia next year. When he moves he’ll be taking offers from Appalachian State, UMBC, Ball State, Youngstown State and USC Upstate
