Jackson Lockard
Jackson Lockard
Jackson Lockard got things done on both ends of the court this weekend. He did a good job of containing and cutting off ball handlers as well as denying driving lanes. He knocked down catch and shoot three-pointers at a consistent rate and operated on the perimeter with elite footwork. He has a lightning quick and explosive first step that he used to create wide open driving lanes and attack the cracks in the defense. Lockard also put pressure on the defense in transition as defenders struggled to stay in front of him.
Lucas Gorman
Lucas Gorman
Lucas Gorman put his speed with the ball and ability to consistently get to the paint on display this weekend. Gorman thrived at getting two feet into the paint and forcing the defense to react before making a play for his teammates or for himself. On numerous occasions, we saw Gorman collapse a defense and make a good read rather that be a kick out pass to a shooter in the corner or delivering a dump-off pass through a tight window in the paint.
Isaac McLaughlin
Isaac McLaughlin
McLaughlin really put his two-way skills on display this past weekend. The Triple Threat Nation player was blocking shots left in right, including an impressive block on a high-release three-point attempt. Aside from being a defensive presence that opposing teams could not ignore, McLaughlin lit it up from behind the arc. He was able to knock down a handful of catch and shoot three-pointers and was also a threat to score in the mid range area.
Adrian Farmer
Adrian Farmer
Farmer played with lighting quick speed as he blew by defenders in transition as well as in the half court at times. Farm did a good job of running the floor and filling the lanes correctly where he was rewarded with transition layups. In the half court setting, Farmer was good at maintaining his dribble through traffic and creating opportunities for himself. Farmer also knocked down some three-pointers with good-looking form.
Jayden Bland
Jayden Bland
Bland was all over the court this weekend. On one occasion, we saw Bland do his best Jose Alvarado impression with a steal from behind following the inbound pass. Bland was knocking down shots from beyond the arc, including an impressive self-created three-pointer with the step-back dribble. Bland was quick with the ball as he got a steal and raced past the defense taking it coast to coast for an open layup as well as creating a nice pull-up jumper in the mid-range by putting the breaks on in the middle of a drive, completely stopping on a dime and rising up to knock down the open jump shot.
