Schlager (24 ppg.; 2,000+ career points; Sienna commit) is one of the most accomplished 2025 guard prospects in Pennsylvania. So, his arrival at the Fellowship House gym generated a bit of a buzz. This double double machine did not disappoint as last night at the Donofrio Classic Schlager scored 20 points and handed out numerous creative dimes. Schlager scored at all three levels in the half court and got out in transitions for buckets. We were equally impressed with his court vison and willingness to make high IQ passes. Siena landed a gem in this versatile guard with fantastic scoring skills.

Schlager (24 ppg.; Sienna commit) is the front runner to win the Mid Penn Conference POY award. After watching the triple double he posted in Trinity’s District 3-3A win over Antietam, it is easy to see why. Schlager’s full skill set was on display in this game as he stuffed that stat book for 24 points (3 triples), 12 assists and 11 boards. Obviously, Schlager produced points at every level in this Trinity victory. In fact, during this game Schlager became Trinity’s all-time leading scorer with 2,047 career points and counting. Still, what impressed me the most about Schlager’s performance in this game was his high IQ and court vision. Schlager executed a host of incredible live dribble dimes in this game. He also did a fantastic job of recognizing double teams early, and then quickly moving the ball to an open teammate.

On this site I have described Schlager as “an efficient, three-level scoring machine”. That description certainly held true this week as Schlager (25.6ppg.) posted two incredible runs. Schlager (Siena commit) tipped off the week by pouring in 33 points and grabbing 8 rebounds during a win over James Buchanan. In that contest Schlager shot 14 for 16 from the field. For an encore Schlager dropped 45 points (5 threes) on Boiling Springs. During that Trinity victory, Schlager shot 15-24 from field and 10-10 from the charity stripe. He also grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. Schlager has now scored 30-points or more in three straight games and led Trinity to wins in 5 of their last 6 games.

The Siena pledge showed he is more the just a scorer he was constantly facilitating moving the ball and making his teammates better. Schlager really thinks the game and stays rather even keel through it all. He has grown into a big leadership role and has matured as a player over the last several months. His experience and guidance should really help develop Trinity’s young nucleus for the coming year.
