Bennion is a strong guard who is having a solid senior year for the 15-4 Lions. He’s been both more aggressive offensivley, but also picking his spots better, which had led to his 10.6 PPG and 40% hit rate from 3-point range. But he’s really a kid who can lock in defensively and turn up the heat, and has been piling up steals this year, averaging 4.6 per game.

Took a big step forward this summer with his consistency and poise on the court. Can stretch the floor, defend the ball at a high level, and has the strength and athleticism to finish around the paint. Will be a big factor on a new look AMV team this winter.

Bennion is a tough player who has really excelled on the defensive end, leading his team last season with 3.2 steals per game. He recorded a steal in all but two of their games and notched 2+ steals in 17 games. He’s a guy who can get up into ballhandlers, take advantage of loose handles, and play disciplined while waiting for openings in the dribble to make a play. He stands at just 5-foot-11 but has plus athleticism, is a real strong kid, and has the ability to find his groove offensively, spacing the floor and attacking gaps with purpose.

Previous Rank: 68rnBennion is another smaller guard who brings a tenacious defensive effort. He’s willing to dig in and challenge ballhandlers, picking the pockets of those not up to the task. He’s got an improving 3-point shot and when he is confident with his shot, he can really heat up. More and more through the summer, he started taking advantage of overaggressive defenders to get inside where he’s pretty effective with short jumpers but can also explode with plus athleticism at the rim.

This guy is one of the top defenders on his team and can really lock down ballhandlers and push them out away from the arc. He got hot on the offensive end in this one, nailing a couple of 3-pointers and playing well off of two feet, getting into the middle of the defense and hitting the short-range shots.
