He's such an impressive athlete with great instincts on the defensive end, allowing him to constantly cut off ball handlers while also being able to jump passes and get out in transition. Davion is a smooth operator with the ball in his hands, able to weave in and out of traffic to get to the rim. Also showcased his outside shot that has been improving year by year. Lutheran didn't have anyone that could stay in front of him, and it allowed him to constantly get into the paint to create for his teammates. He did a great job of penetrating Burlington's zone defense and getting all the way to the basket where he found success finishing with his left hand. As just a freshman he already has the body control to withstand a hit and finish through contact. Also stretched the floor with a pair of threes. The assist numbers didn't reflect it as his team struggled to hit shots, but he also showcased some playmaking ability by drawing up extra defenders and quickly locating the open man. He's lightning quick and has his eyes scanning the floor at all times, making him aware the instant a teammate gets into space. Was getting into the paint all game long leading to floaters, finishes at the rim, and quick dump off passes to a forward cutting in from the dunker spot. Davis is capable of stretching the floor from three, but I think he's at his best when he's looking to attack and get his teammates involved. He has a long and lanky frame, and used it to pull in 7 rebounds for his team. Moves pretty well at his size, and with a good off season of work could come back as a major threat next winter. Wray pulled in 13 rebounds, and after each one he was finding an outlet and immediately sprinting up the floor looking for easy lay-ups. Even if the hustle didn't always pay off, it did lead to a couple of easy buckets over the course of his 32 minutes on the floor. Defensively he moves pretty well at his size, and can guard taller players because of how strong he is. And when you combine his long frame with quick feet and that type of work ethic, it leads to plenty of mistakes from opposing ball handlers. Damon excels at forcing turnovers, getting out in transition, and then dishing it out to a sprinting teammate leading to two points.
