The Trinity Academy Raleigh Tigers hosted the Grace Christian School Eagles in a rematch of last week's meeting that saw Grace Christian take a 69-58 victory last Tuesday. Take a look at the recap and the standouts from Tuesday night's game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1343866' first='Clash' last='Peters'] opened up as a big presence in the paint for TAR as he opened the first quarter with a quick 10 points including four free throws. He kept the Eagles busy in the paint with his ability to rebound and score around the rim in the early going. [player_tooltip player_id='815617' first='Julien' last='King'] and [player_tooltip player_id='854906' first='Quasim' last='Oden'] combined for 9 of the 11 first-quarter points for the Eagles. After 1, the Tigers held a 20-11 lead but the Eagles would battle back before the half.

The Eagles battled back to cut the lead to five points with 3:11 in the first half, using strong defense and their backcourt duo of King and Oden to take the momentum. They combined for 17 of the 24 points for Grace Christian in the second quarter. A 7-0 run by Grace Christian would make it 29-27 and with just 52.1 seconds left, the Eagles led 32-31. The lead would change a few more times before a layup at the buzzer by [player_tooltip player_id='1363176' first='Trevor' last='Barrett'] would give the Tigers a slim 36-35 lead at the half.

In the third quarter, TAR would lean on Peters once again down low and build a 46-43 lead. A 3-pointer from [player_tooltip player_id='1165160' first='Parker' last='Bye'] would make it 49-43 but the Eagles would answer right back to make it 49-45 with 1:50 left. The Tigers would score five points in the final 1:50 including a 3-pointer from Vanderhorst to make it 54-45 after 3.

In the final quarter, it was all Tigers with the momentum as they pushed the lead to 59-48 with 4:40 remaining in the game. They would go on a 7-0 run to gain their biggest lead of the night at 66-48 with 2:20 left in the game. In the end, the Tigers would strike a 71-54 victory over the Eagles to avenge last week's loss in the Capital City Conference.
<!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1343866"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":1776824,"_player_evaluations_0_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"Peters was dominant in the paint and on the glass for the TAR Tigers as he paced the offense with 26 points and 16 rebounds. He was a burden on the boards and cleaned up missed shots when needed on the offensive end to add to his impact. He's slowly becoming a consistent threat in the frontcourt.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["1014991"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_player_featured_image":1776828,"_player_evaluations_1_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Vanderhorst was stellar at the lead guard spot for TAR as he finished with 21 points and five assists to show off his ability to lead the offense. He did a lot more distributing in the first half but in the second was a lot more aggressive at scoring the ball and knocking down shots on the perimeter. He posted 19 of his 21 points in the second half to boost the offense when it was needed.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["1363176"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_player_featured_image":1776878,"_player_evaluations_2_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Barrett stood out with his ability to make plays in the first half. He got things going for his squad with 11 first half points and kept things close when Grace Christian went on a run. He showed he wasn't afraid to get to the paint and make things happen. He's an unsigned senior guard for DII and DIII schools to get eyes on.","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["815617"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_player_featured_image":1776859,"_player_evaluations_3_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"King was impressive in leading the Grace Christian offense despite the result. He poured in 26 points to show off his ability to fill it up from deep and in the mid-range area. He knocked down four 3-pointers and put together big quarters in the second and third to keep things close. He's an unsigned senior guard/wing that colleges of all levels should get eyes on.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["854906"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_player_featured_image":1776857,"_player_evaluations_4_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Oden had himself a busy first half as his aggressiveness kept the Eagles close in the first half. He post 12 of his 15 points in the first half as he showed he could get to the paint and finish in traffic on numerous occasions. As he learns to be consistent for two halves, look for his recruitment to grow in the 2024 class.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["1076365"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":["override_image"],"_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_player_featured_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_player_featured_image":"field_62f141137ead9","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"McLeod played with a ton of energy on both ends of the floor and did a lot that didn't show up in the stat sheet, like hustling for loose balls and rebounds.
