Keleaf was awarded 2nd Team All DMV I-495 Team by Prep Hoops and 2nd team All Met by the Washington Post. Additionally Keleaf played for the Capital All Stars in the Capital (Dr. Henry Wise HS) at Massanutten next year. Keleaf said, “I know Darron and and we are very good friends, and it will be great to play with him. However, I was leaning towards to prepping after the season concluded. After I visited Massanutten last moth I felt very comfortable with everything, from Coach Meyers, the academics at MMA, the location which is not very far from DC, but not too close, and the incoming players. I was aware Massanuten had 2 DMV players on their roster this past season, Jamarko Pickett (Eastern HS) who will attend Ole Miss and Keon Queen (Friendship Tech HS) who will attend (Coffeyville JC). I know many of the players in the DMV and we are like a family looking out for & helping each other.”
Keleaf is solid student who wants to study Business in college & said, “Academically, I will work on reading, in addition to computer and math skills. From a basketball standpoint, I did not feel I was ready to play in college at the level I wanted & I will work very hard to improve certain skills as well as my all around game. I want to work on my jump shot from 3 point range and get more elevation on my off the dribble perimeter shots. Additionally, I want to improve my strength and gain 5-10 pounds of lean muscle. I have a conditional offer from Mt. St. Marys which I am very interested in after I finish my Post Grad year at Massanutten.”
Keleaf added This spring I am very happy to have just joined DC Premier 17 & U. DC Premier will play in Session III of the Under Amour Grass roots circuit May 27 thru May 29 in Los Angeles.I plan on playing with DC premier thru the summer until I leave for Massanutten in late August. Keleaf has had a very tough upbringing & all the Coaches in the DMV as well as Prep Hoops are pulling for him for success on and off the court and he has done a great job to date.
We will be following Massanutten Military this coming season and attending several games rooting for Keleaf & Darron.
