A Few Bright Youngsters
At times players like Carson that excel in two sports and have a full Spring and Summer because of it often do not get enough buzz because they’re not on the basketball court year round or traveling to every grassroots event but Carson is a talented player. He has size and he has a pure looking jumper that he is able to get off at a great level. He can shoot the three but he can take a few steps in and hit the mid-range. Carson also has the quickness to get to the rim off of one move. He plays the right way and does not over dribble or play with the ball to get open or to the rim. At 6’4 he is a good off the ball SG that rebounds and can push the ball up the floor on the break.
Numbers aren’t jumping out at you but he does pass the eye-ball test. Malachi is a developing wing player that has a quick first step and he has some lift off ability. With more reps at the varsity level he will be a valuable player for Weber as his size and position as a hybrid 3 can really catch the eyes of college coaches.
Steal Post Players
Nate Visentin
Nate Visentin
Big fella has been playing well this season. He’s a double double machine as he is active and strong on the boards. Makes easy work of anything close to the rim. Nate is more of a four but he is a power four. This kid is still raw and a small school could get a lot out of him.
Highlights
Jagger is going to be a quality steal at the next level. He doesn’t jump out of the gym but he elevates enough and he is crafty getting boards over people that can leap more than him and that are simply taller than him. Jagger has a unique skill where he can pick and pop a bit and he is just good on set plays as he runs them well. On dives to the rim he knows how to get deep in the paint where he can be effective. In that mid-post area he has a good touch on push shots. Great value on this big fella.
