About Finnegan
Expert Analysis
Devin Record | Prep Hoops Scout
Finnegan is another rising prospect after he had a solid AAU season during the summer. He knocks down his shots at a high rate and is a threat on the wing who can either put the ball on the ground to create space or step out and hit his threes. Anderson rebounds the ball well, always crashing the boards and giving all his effort. He will have a big senior year next year and is getting some looks at the JUCO level. In my eyes, he is good enough to play beyond that level.

How do you think your AAU & HS summer league went? What is your outlook on your upcoming season?
-My AAU season and HS summer season went good. I improved in areas that I wanted to improve in. I am very excited for this upcoming high school season, we basically have the same team as last year and we all enjoy playing with each other.
What are some things that stand out about your game? Things that coaches can see and know you excel at
-I feel like I am a very good all around player on both offenses and defense. I am a consistent shooter and I use my length to finish over or around defenders. The coaches that I’ve talked to have told me that my shooting, defense and leadership stand out.
What are you looking for in a school beyond HS?
-I am looking for a coaching staff that will push me to be the best on and off the court. I would also like to go to a competitive program that also offers a good education in areas that I’m interested in.
Have you been in contact with any coaches/schools? If so, what schools?
-I currently hold an offer from Tacoma Community College and I have received interests from Whitworth, Lewis and Clark state, Puget Sound, Willamette, Central Washington University, Oberlin, and The Coast Guard Academy.
What do you want to improve on most in your game before playing at the next level?
-I am working on getting stronger and more athletic so I can compete at the next level. I am also working on my handles and play making ability to create opportunities for me and my teammates.

Prev Rank: 109 (+27)rnAnderson has been a solid sharpshooting, rebounding wing in past years but he seems to have taken that next leap this spring and filled in the gaps in his game. He’s more aggressive getting to the cup, beating guys off the dribble with more ease, and incorporating a more varied shot selection that has helped him become a much more elusive scorer. He still has the big body and can muscle up inside, but he’s a much more diverse offensive threat, especially with the ball in his hands.
