Chris Ross Chris Ross 5'9" | PG Wallkill Valley | 2023 State NJ , 5’9 PG Wallkill Valley 2023
Ross has been part of the Rangers’ offense over the past couple of seasons and should have a big senior season for them. The 5’9 lefty has a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender in the half court and finish around the rim. Ross has a nice touch on his floater and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Ross’ combination of speed and skill is something that will be key to his development this season.
Daniel Yarus Daniel Yarus 6'6" | SF Spotswood | 2024 State NJ , 6’6 SF Spotswood 2024
Yarus is primed for a big junior campaign as he gets more touches on the offensive end. The 6’6 forward has a nice shooting stroke and has a high release on his jumper. Yarus is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and uses his length to influence shots on the defensive end. Yarus is ready for a breakout season for Spotswood as he gets more shots up in the half court.
Kevin Freeman Kevin Freeman 6'5" | SF Arts | 2025 State NJ , 6’5 SF Arts 2025
Freeman had a solid freshman campaign for the Jaguars and is set for a breakout sophomore season. The 6’5 wing attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the basket and is unafraid of contact. Freeman is more than just a slasher as he can knock down open jumpers from distance and has a good release on his jumper. He works hard on the glass at both ends of the floor and is an underrated defender. Freeman will be one to watch in the SEC as he gets more looks on the offensive end for Arts.
Brandon Rodriguez Brandon Rodriguez 6'0" | CG West Side | 2023 State NJ , 6’0 CG West Side 2023
Rodriguez is the leading returning scorer for the Roughriders and will be running the show for them in 2022-23. The 6’0 guard has a quick release on his jumper and can knock down jumpers in bunches. Rodriguez is more than just a shooter as he has a nice handle and is a good finisher around the basket. He is a solid rebounder for a guard and gets deflections on the defensive end. Rodriguez has the ability to score points in bunches, which will be key to his success this season for West Side.
Ben Kipnis Ben Kipnis 6'3" | SG Holmdel | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 SG Holmdel 2024
Kipnis was one of the top three-point shooters in the Shore Conference last season and should be again this season. The 6’2 guard has a quick release on his jumper and shoots the ball with confidence from distance. Kipnis moves well without the ball in his hands and is a good finisher around the basket. He has an underrated handle and moves his feet well on the defensive end. Kipnis’ ability to torch the nets from behind the arc is something that will help his stock in a big way in 2022-23.
