The TCL didn't have the greatest season last year as none of the member teams advanced far in the tournament. Start appears to be the top team this year and will be the one everyone tries to go after. See what else I expect

Start- The Spartans will look to be the favorites in the City League as they return a great core to build around. [player_tooltip player_id='1164623' first='Stone' last='Edwards'] (Sr) had a great AAU season and will be looked upon for leadership. The addition of [player_tooltip player_id='922595' first='Romel' last='Hightower'] (Sr) from Toledo Scott gives the Spartans another weapon on the perimeter. Offensively this team will be able to score a bunch and will compete throughout the year.

Bowsher- The Blue Racers struggled throughout the year, but will be returning enough guys to compete in the City League in 2023. I like the combo of [player_tooltip player_id='954766' first='Dante' last='Mays'] (Sr) and [player_tooltip player_id='1203998' first='Nekhi' last='Villolovos'] (Sr) to challenge. Mays was an All-District guard while Villolovos is one of the better rim protectors in the league. Showed they could beat a few teams in the league and can take the needed next step to compete.

Rogers- Rams are a few years removed from a fantastic season during COVID, and will move forward without one of their bigger names in [player_tooltip player_id='1605205' first='Pharrell' last='House'] who transfers to Whitmer. [player_tooltip player_id='1605203' first='Josh' last='Jacobs'] (Sr) comes back and will be leaned on heavily for the Rams to compete this year.

Scott- The Bulldogs would have been one of the favorites to win the City League had they not lost [player_tooltip player_id='922595' first='Romel' last='Hightower'] to Toledo Start. Hezekiah Ray (Sr) returns and will be the guy for the Bulldogs in 2023.

Waite/Woodward- Both teams lose their top guys and will look to new faces to lead them as the season progresses onward.
