Khalid had a strong showing on Saturday morning for D1 Minnesota Gold . He was a physical presence in the paint, able to go to work catching on the block. Khalid showed an impressive blend of footwork, strength, and touch of the glass to score nearly every time he caught in isolation on the block. Stays patient and does a nice job of gathering his balance to go up to finish, helping him score with efficiency. Was a threat in the pick & roll as well, as he sets hard screens to free up his guards, and has good hands catching in traffic.

Khalid showcased his ability to step out beyond the arc and make defenders pay for giving him too much space. In the roughly 20 minutes of running clock time I saw Khalid play in, he stepped out for three triples, powering his way to the rim for a finish inside. Has some strength and footwork to go to work when isolated on the block. He’ll be running with D1 Minnesota Gold this spring.
