Lucas looks like he’s grown a little bit since last season and is standing at roughly 6’4″. His game is versatile, as he can attack the bucket nicely or hit the jump shot nicely. He rises above defenders on mid-range shots quite often. His length helps him when finishing at the rim, being able to get his lay-ups over the bigs down low. Something Lucas has started to add to his game is more technique when playing down in the post. His shot is still as consistent as it has keep, so defenders must stay on their toes. He’s done a great job at expanding his game and is poised for a big senior year as well.

Smith is a long option at guard that plays a controlled attacking game, getting to the hoop and finishing strong. Every move he makes is strong and intentional, he’s a fighter on the glass and can even hit the three at a decent rate. He will be a big part of the Borderites push to the state tournament this season.

Another wing that can shoot it. He’s a good athlete who is versatile and should be a stat stuffer, who is counted on to crash the boards and run the floor. He can get to the bucket and is an active defender. He will provide plenty of scoring, and contribute in all areas of the game. He’s a skilled player.

a few times. That takes nothing away from the game that this kid has. He, like Lehnert can shoot it from distance. He’s got size for a guard. He can shoot off the bounce and is strong on the finish. Blaine has a chance to be really good in class 1A next season. They also have Mathew Russ, to make for a three headed monster. I’m excited to see what Lucas brings to the table tomorrow in Bellevue. He’s got some game no question!
