is arguably the best under-the-radar prospect we have in the state and that still holds true today. Matson has had a strong senior season for the Bedford Stars and he will look to continue that momentum heading into the tough Sectional 15. Matson has always been one of the more naturally athletic players around the rim and this season, he showed an ability to stretch the floor a bit more and knockdown some outside shots. The Stars will have a tough challenge when they face with Scottsburg or Jeffersonville.
We have constantly put Matson as one of the best under-the-radar prospects in the state and that still holds true today. Matson has been spectacular this season putting up high-scoring game after high-scoring game. When it comes to the Hoosier Hills Conference, he makes a strong case as the most athletic wing in there. If you have not seen Matson, he is elite at attacking the rim while showing improvement as a three point shooter. Watch him and the Stars this week when they host Jeffersonville on Friday then travel to Terre Haute North on Saturday.
Matson was the guy to watch here for Bedford. Thought he was a little passive at times but also did a good job of being a playmaker when needed. As long as he stays aggressive and engaged, he can be game changer.

. A bigger guard that can make plays from nearly all levels of the floor, Matson has been a guy that has seen his stock rise constantly over the past few seasons at this level. He is a high motor kid that will make a few big plays this weekend that will turn some heads. In the first game for Bedford this season, Matson scored 17 points and added 3 rebounds.

An under-the-radar shooter down in southern Indiana, Matson made 62 of 124 three-point shots for a 50% clip. The bigger guard is a great all-around scorer and jump shooter, but deserves to be recognized among the best shooters here in the senior class.
Player Traits: Versatile guard, highlight athletic, buckets-getter, scores at all three levels, potential 3-and-D player long term, stud in transition, bouncy, off the ball threat
My Quick Thoughts: A player that slowly burst on the scene and has become one of the more intriguing 2025 prospects is Matson. Has a very strong AAU season with EG10
and finally got on the radar of schools such as IU-Kokomo. That is probably his level, but am very curious to see if he can break into an even higher level when it comes to college play. A top stock-riser in the state.
