Over the course of the next couple weeks, Prep Hoops will be evaluating the top players by position for the upcoming classes. Today, we will start with the top centers to keep an eye on for the upcoming season in the senior class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1165382' first='Cole' last='Gingeleski']- Alonso (2023)

The 6-11 center has a very big frame and his presence in the low post has cost some opponents havoc in the last couple of years. Gingeleski averaged a double-double last season helping lead the Ravens to a 22-7 record and a district championship last season. Gingeleski currently has received interest from a few D2 schools.

[player_tooltip player_id='1463340' first='Quamar' last='Hobbs']- Leto/G1 Sports (2023)

Last season for Leto, Hobbs averaged a double-double with 14.7 points and 10 rebounds per game to lead the Falcons to a 17-10 record and a regional quarterfinal berth. Hobbs also shot 57 percent from the field last season which led the team. As of right now, Hobbs has no reported college offers or interest but that could all change with a big season from the 6-5 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='709258' first='Nehemiah' last='Turner']- Oldsmar Christian (2023)

The 6-9 center was limited to just 8 games last season for the Bloodhounds, but when he was in the lineup he was a force in the paint. Turner can also expand his game and has really improved his outside shot year in and year out. Turner transferred from Auburndale to Oldsmar Christian this offseason.

Turner averaged 17.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and nearly two blocks per game. Turner also led the team with six double-doubles recorded last season. Last season, Turner was mentioned 2nd-Team All-County for Polk along with his teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1060163' first='Kervin' last='Knaggs'].

[player_tooltip player_id='1164290' first='Michael' last='Jones']- Sports Leadership & Management (Tampa)- 2023

Jones might be one of the most under the radar prospects in the area for this year's upcoming class. While the stats may not indicate what he provides on the floor, coaches should take note of what the 6-6 prospect can do inside. Jones shot 58 percent from the field in 25 games played last season for the Spartans.

Alex Kruska- Jesuit (Tampa)- 2023

The 6-9 forward didn't get a ton of touches last season for the Tigers, but we can expect Kruska to play a big load this season. Kruska averaged just two points and two rebounds per game last season for the Tigers, but his size has an advantage on most teams in the Tampa Bay area.

Over the course of the next couple weeks, Prep Hoops will be evaluating the top players by position for the upcoming classes. Today, we will start with the top centers to keep an eye on for the upcoming season in the senior class.
