Small point man has the ball on a string as he manipulates the defense and makes others around him better. Elusive ball handler is able to penetrate routinely before dishing off for easy hoops. Difficult to trap and tough to speed up. One of the best pure pass-first point guards in Georgia.

The dazzling dish man recorded 6 assists to pair with 9 points in a 61-58 win against Peachtree Ridge. Alterman is among the steadiest point guards in Georgia. The veteran has been through countless wars and is a top-notch table setter. He is shifty with the ball, able to split traps and survey the floor. Gabe has impeccable touch on his alley-oops.

The 5-10 point guard is a mature guard who doesn’t seem to let the moment be to big for him. He plays with poise and plays under control. His defense was what brought my attention as his ability to guard on the ball has drastically improved over the course of the summer. He is a hard worker and rebounds exceptionally well for his size. High expectations for Alterman are looming as he gears up for his sophomore season.
